Every winter, after the holidays, I jump right into dreaming of spring. Imagine my let-down to know there are months left of winter to get through before the weather changes and the garden grows. When I learned about hellebore plants, I was amazed that they are a robust and beautiful perennial plant that blooms in the middle of the winter season. While my woes of winter are not fully cured, the ability to plant new varieties every year, then cut and bring inside such a beautiful flower when none else put on a comparable show, is everything to my garden and photography loving heart.
