Spring is Here!

While winter weather will still linger awhile longer, spring is officially here and that means that we can slowly emerge from our cocoons and dust off the cobwebs. Fewer rainy days and more sunshine is the hallmark of seasonal change in the Pacific Northwest and you begin to see people flocking outdoors more than ever. It’s the best. What I really love are the peaceful and warm mornings to walk outside, tend the garden, play with the dogs, and just enjoy being. I try all year to brave whatever weather we have, but you know nothing beats those pleasant days of spring without rain, snow, and layers to keep warm.

Many of us begin craving color in the landscape and our gardens and it’s a true life of the spirit when the first blooms emerge. I’ve spent time documenting things as slowly, beautifully, and intentionally as I can. While I am still photographing families, I treasure the slow pace of peaceful studio work with flowers.

If you haven’t signed up for my infrequent newsletter yet, I’d be grateful to share my behind the scenes footage and early release access with you. You can join here if you’d like or just hop over to the shop to see what’s new (opening day is 3/20).
