Spring Bucket List

Hello friends, and welcome to all things spring!

Nothing feels quite like emerging from a long winter to the abundant beauty of all things spring. While nature comes back to life, it’s like a part of ourselves do too. I’m trying harder to be intentional and active this season, enjoying the finer details that are only available while the cool, yet warming weather permits. I’ve just sent out a fresh spring email with new art and inspiration for subscribers. I’ve so enjoyed pouring into that little newsletter and hearing such kind things in response. You can sign up here if you’d like to take a look.

“If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.”

— Frances Hodgson Burnett

I can’t help but share our spring park walk already, daffodils are at peak bloom and cherry blossoms are on the way! The earliest flowers, like snowdrops and muscari are nearing their end and tulips, ranunculus, and anemones are on their way in. It’s a magical time that goes quickly, it’s not to be missed.

The spring art shop has been updated with a few new photos that make my heart happy and feel especially alive. I’d love to know if you’re more drawn to flowers or landscapes, I just can’t decide, which is why I include both. Comment below to let me know. I also have new plans for still life in the coming seasons, but it’ll take some time to gather inspiration and create those pieces. Nevertheless, I’m so excited.

I’ve made a spring bucket list for you to save and download here. It’s so nice to have accessible ideas that don’t take too much time, planning, or expense to enjoy. I’m already checking off quite a few things, and spring baking begins this weekend for Easter. I feel most present in the season when I’m able to do things specific to this time.

Spring photo shoots began for me last month, celebrating a precious baby girl’s first birthday. I have a few more on the horizon and it feels wonderful to be back with families again after the holiday break. Soon I’ll be off on mountain adventures and chasing wildflowers again. You can book here.

While I’m still working close to home, it’s spring cleaning time! You’ll find me in the garden more than indoors when weather permits, and I anxiously await those nice days to tackle all that I’ve been planning for in the garden. Whether or not you have a dedicated space, you can use containers or clear out a small area to just get your feet wet. I’d encourage you to grab a few starts from your local garden center as well as a few seed packets to experiment with. The only thing you really need to know is your last frost date, and where I’m at in zone 8b, that’s April 20th, when you can plant everything and anything. Although, there are many cool weather things to still plant right now (vegetables such as lettuce, spinach, radishes, and peas, as well as flowers like calendula, snapdragons, larkspur, and stock all do best in cooler temps).

Thank you friends for visiting. I’d love to hear if you enjoy the spring bucket list or are starting a garden this year. Happy growing!
