Autumn Afternoon Family Session

Our daughters brought us together, as they became close friends very quickly. They’ve played the same soccer teams for years, our youngest both attend the same preschool, our husbands share the same hobbies, and we often share the same woes when it comes to school or awkward moments with kids, when all you can do is look at each other and laugh. It’s been a bit more gentle of a friendship for us adults, but we can count on one another in time of need when it comes to our children. Isn’t that the village everyone is always talking about? It’s a beautiful thing to have and I’m thankful to have found it with this family.

I’ll admit that I was nervous when asked to take their family photos. I always hope to get all the important things just right for photos you can’t help but love, but that can be hard to do. Plus, I’m excitable, chase light, keep kids happy, and snap away on my camera like there’s no tomorrow. I’m pleased to say that this session was so fun and easy going, we walked, talked, stopped to take photos, and took turns being responsible for making everyone laugh. There isn’t a photo I don’t love from this family photo shoot.

Thank you L family for having me out on the most perfect autumn day.
